Background

Nestled within the East-Fold, the House of Dimaldri held within it their estate. Located East of Edoras and south of the River Snowbourne, the lush land was rich for farming and grazing for the horses that grew there. Along with the estate were many servants, craftsmen, farmers, and their families. So much so that the estate resembled a small village, all owned by the Dimaldri family. It was there that Lord Baenor Dimaldri first set up his estate, and the generations passed.

Baenor, son of Aenor, was first rewarded for his loyalty and service to the then-king, Helm Hammerhead. He took for himself a wife from the daughters of Rohan, and had three children. Orinar, Aenor II, and a daughter, Ekrania. Throughout the years, the Dimaldri family remained. With the passing of Baenor in the year T.A 2778, Orinar took over the house until his death. By then, Aenor II had died of disease without an heir, leaving Ekrania as the sole heir to the House of Dimaldri.

And so the lines went, changing here and there on the rulers of the House, until the year T. A 2984. During this time, Leowulf ruled the House of Dimaldri with his wife Eodwinel, who bore him two children. The eldest of these children was his son, Baenrol, and his youngest, a daughter named Ekraen. It was in T. A 2984 when Ekraen was born, ending Eodwinel's life during childbirth. Leowulf continued to rule the House, over seeing his daughter's wedding to her childhood friend, Angrim and the birth of his grand-daughter, Abellia. Leowulf ruled until 3014, when he was slain in the Battle of the Hornburg against the battle with Saruman. Baenrol was slain only months later, leaving only Ekraen to take over the House.

With Ekraen as the House leader, Grima saw fit to try and use the fact that she was a woman against the family. When that did not work, he began trying to convince Ekraen to side with him. This caused much strife between Ekraen, the House of Dimaldri, and Grima. Ekraen's loyalty, along with her house's, was to the King alone. Years of force had drained the resources of the House and Ekraen finally was forced to face off with what she knew to be a planned raid by orcs.

The attack of the orcs against the estate devastated the forces of House Dimaldri, but they did not falter. Unable to destroy the house completely, Grima banished Ekraen and all members, servants, workers, and craftsmen of House Dimaldri from Rohan. It was during their wandering across Middle-Earth that those of House Dimaldri learned of the Knights of Eriador, and that they were mostly located within Bree. While traveling there, Ekraen happened upon a piece of paper directing her to Hookworth. It is there that she traveled, to seek out the head of the Order, and asked for acceptance into the Kin along with her people, in exchange for aid from both sides.

With their request accepted, Ekraen began rebuilding her House. Now, though small, the House of Dimaldri is on its way to becoming strong once again.

---

In the year 3018, a falling-out occurred between the House Dimaldri and the Knights of Eriador. House Dimaldri then decided that it was time to split from the Order and make its own way, independently and without the shelter of anyone but themselves.

---

In the early days of September, T.A 3018, Ekraen Dimaldri has fallen ill. With no strength to carry on and the sense of dying, she has left her daughter, Abellia, and her adopted daughter, Aeswyn, in charge of the House. A new tide is coming, and the Dimaldri will be forever changed.

---

After weeks of fighting illness and fever, Lady Ekraen Dimaldri has passed away. She leaves behind Abellia Dimaldri, Aeswyn Dimaldri, and Alazarn Dimaldri as the heirs of House Dimaldri. With the death of Lady Ekraen, a new era begins. Now, Aeswyn must take the helm fully, as preparations for the Lady of Dimaldri's funeral begins
