Love is all around me!

Dear diary… I know I haven’t called you like this yet, but now I feel like everything is dear to me. I’ve had another beautiful day. Although.. it was more than beautiful.

I spent a restless night in Rivendell, to where I rode yesterday evening so I would be ready to go north in the morning. When I woke up, the sky was cloudy. That didn’t bother me much, as the Misty Mountains are a place where you can’t see further than five metres away, even when it’s sunny. I helped Glóin with a certain matter regarding the wargs in north-eastern Hithaeglir and was rewarded with some of his finest dwarven stew. I ate the stew on my way back to Bree.

But even a nice start can convert into a moment of sadness. When I arrived at the Pony, it took no more than ten minutes and Al stopped by. I hoped to bring her to a more... enjoyable mood (she’s always wandering around Eriador, killing off orcs and other scum). I took her for a walk and we stopped under an oak at the northern edge of Halecatch Lake. After several calming attempts from my side it resulted in an argument. But this time it wasn’t me who started it! I felt both angry and sad afterwards, but I knew I had to recuperate quickly so I could attend the Dúnedain meeting which was about to take place in about an hour. Kalesiar invited me and I couldn’t refuse such an offer. Besides, I love parties!

So the time came and I arrived at the huge house in Towerfold. The house is nicely situated at the very end of the road, with an amazing view and a waterfall nearby. The waterfall pours into a crystal-clear pond. But the moment of lifetime happiness was yet to come. When I reached the entrance, I was greeted by a friendly elf. This elf brought me to someone I wouldn’t expect at all. ‘She’ was standing on the edge of a semi-circle made of stone pillars and played her lute. She looked as beautiful as never before, yet I recognized ‘her’ right away.

Muiliel – the elven maid I have loved since my childhood and who I couldn’t find ever since. After nine years of helplessness I have found her! I thought I would explode out of happiness!

She took me to her father and the other attendants, I greeted them – they greeted me – and then she took me down the hill, to the pond I mentioned. There we laid on a giant stone that came out of the pond like a water-lily and we shared our feelings. I have never been so happy before in my life! Was it the waterfall, the pond, or both... neither. It was her presence. Muil is the only one I ever really loved and admired, and her very words are like flowers falling from a tree - so smooth and magical.

The meeting was very enjoyable. Lovely music, fine meals, great people... Although near the end of it the Blackwolds raided the village and fatally injured one of the attendants – Taglan, or Taglar, or something similar to that.
We drove them off and with the help of two brave elven warriors we defeated their leader, delivering a great blow. Next time will those bastards think twice before attacking the innocent!

When we returned, the party was obviously over, but to my relief Taglar was cured. And guess who did it. Yup, it was Muil! We spent a lovely evening under the tree near the pond in Staddle, where I am lying right now. Muil lies next to me, but she’s already asleep. I should go to sleep, too.. and perhaps we will meet in a mutual dream.
