Thendryt

Lilleduil gave Norngaladh another good scratch, then sat back down at the campfire.

“How are his wounds truly, Lilleduil?” the Captain asked her.

“If he hasn't torn everything open walking around, he should be all right.  They weren't that deep.”

“Stubborn...nothing changes,” mused Khalis.

There was silence for a moment, then Lilleduil said carefully,  “I suppose I shall tell Eirallyn that she should go ahead to Annuminas.  She will want to anyway.”

We are on the road again heading south following the river to see where the supplies that were being brought up into south Eregion ate originating from. Hiril Elisbeth had taken stock of the situation as we were resting in Echad Mirobel and made it known that the man Thendrty Morson would be coming with us. I had voiced my concerns but it seems the others are in agreement with the Tur, thus I will keep my own council on the matter. I just hope it is not to our undoing.

Thendryt left the group of Elves and walked into the night. His wounds hurt, but he liked the pain. It was the good kind, the healing kind. He never minded those.

Tur Elisbeth surveyed the campsite for a moment, looking down a Thendryt’s prone form.

“I trust Norngaladh was of help to you?” Lilleduil asked, for she had left the bog-guardian to guard the Tur when they’d entered the camp.  Elisbeth had apparently had business of her own to accomplish.

Elisbeth nodded abstractedly, still looking at Thendryt, who opened his mouth to start to say something, then closed it.

“What has happened to the rest of the party?” the Tur asked.

“I think they went off to rest.”

Tur Elisbeth Starfire looked down on him, her expression as warm as always. It almost annoyed him. He opened his mouth to say something, but thought better of it. Behind her, Khalis Imieran emerged. Thendryt groaned as he saw the Captain. Everyone needed to see him in this state, it seemed. Lilleduil bowed, yet again.
“Arrow wound to the left shoulder.” Lilleduil began, as she rose. “He pulled that one out.” She looked down at him and their eyes locked for a moment.

She had drifted off  into light reverie when her patient sat up suddenly, then groaned and clutched his midsection.

Startled, Lilleduil found herself annoyed, which was rather unreasonable of her.  Thendryt might believe himself still in battle or have suffered a bad dream.

“Lay back before you undo all my work!” she snapped, then added more softly, “I’ll find something to prop you up a bit.”

”Are you sleeping Thendryt?”
”No.”
Are you sleeping Thendryt?”
”I said no.”
“Are you sure?”
“I…”
“HOW DARE YOU SLEEP, THENDRYT?!”

The splash was not a loud one, over the rushing of the river, but elven ears picked it up nonetheless.

“Did you hear something?” Caleniel asked.  Lilleduil got up, her suspicions roused.

”How do you feel about living, Thendryt?” Khalis said, looking over the tents.
Khalis, Lilleduil, Caleniel and Thendryt had infiltrated a Denlending camp on the border between Eregion and Enedwaith. The camp could hold a large host, though it didn’t look like such a force was in the area. Still, there were a significant number of Dunlendings and half-orcs in the area and they were heavily outnumbered.
