Vanimar

A perfect diversion..

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Diary

I write this as we return from Falathorn heading back to the Vale of Imladris, not quite what I expected, but a welcome diversion from where we thought we were headed.
Whence we received the invitations to Bar-en-Vanimars great ball we elected to make the most of the journey and spend good time in and around Celondim and Falathorn. The Ball as expected was a grand occasion seeing old friends and making new one's is never a bad thing!

Story

Flames are dancing around the branches with a soft, sweet whispering as my thoughts wandering in the well of words…

Soft breeze is sweeping over the long green grasses, shaking the leaves of old oaks which surround us…

And I am listening…

I am watching…

I am hearing the gentle steps of Lady Rainiths’ bare feet, so soft… even timid

Autumn Ball of Vanimar

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Diary

The geese are departing from the north. From my single window I see the skeins in ragged formation arrow across the evening sky. Behind them the moon is newly risen - this season, this moon ... impossibly far away from this dark place, and what happens in this place, a great house is flooded with light and music.

Under the richly decorated ceilings, within the tree arbors festooned with lanterns, the brightest host is dancing. Maidens in gossamer dresses tip their faces up to radiant lords - shy, coy, merry, proud. The flower of elvendom gathered to celebrate autumn.

a Dream, a Call and a Warning - (Chronicles of a Sword)

Story

Reiven looked at her own reflection on the mirror. No scars, no age lines, nothing from the past years…  “Nothing”  she thought and her looks fell down to her palm where she can still see the thin line of the cut. It was healing fast and she knew it will disappear soon enough.

Chronicles of a Sword (Chapter IV – Unexpected twists)

Story

I ran for hours. I know the surroundings here like few do, yet I wanted to put some distance to the settlement and silence my yelling contradictory thoughts. Most probably no one will find me unless I chose to allow it. I look critic to the path behind me and no, I did no mistake.

“What am I to do with you??”

Thirst of the Sword - (Chronicles of a Sword)

Teremonth was sleeping quietly next to her. Reiven watched him breathing steadily yet she couldn’t dare to fall asleep. It was her watch to wait for him, to hold his hand, to whisper gentle words in his ear for chasing off his nightmares. Two nights he told her, for two nights he couldn’t sleep. His face was so pale and eyes looked restless he didn’t need to say a word that Reiven didn’t know.

Story

Back to Falathlorn, after visiting Lindon, I watch a moonless sky where the clouds hide part of the stars drawing a changing sky map..

I need to tell Reiven of my latest findings regarding Daelith’s sword. What Themodir told me about it’s history. The days spent away, with Cirdamir and his friends, helped me elutriate frustration and disappointment from what I feel true in his words.
