Estarfin

Slow Awakening

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

A comforting sense of forgetfulness was draped over him like a shroud; drowning out all fears and all questions in a warm and dark embrace. Yet it was not a sense of peace that filled his limited perception, for peace is a state of being that is dependent upon the existence of another, alternative state. Without war or conflict what meaning does the word peace have? Perhaps then oblivion would be correct; an absence of all sensation except darkness. Although despite the emptiness around him, not all was still and silent.

Hir Parnard,

The Albatross Responds

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

Parnard turned away from the letter and glared out the window at the fading daylight. I cannot recommend her too highly, he thought. Although Limiriel  had gained his confidence in this matter of Estarfin, what part she played in his rescue, he had no idea. Something about the spear-maiden unnerved him, and this letter she wrote him was bordering on rudeness.

The First Letter from Imladris

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Diary

Ada,

I write this first letter to assure you of my safe arrival in Imladris. I miss you all and the sea already, but I have resolved myself to be quite brave in this whole affair, as it was, after all, my choice. They valley's loud streams will be some measure of comfort, though.

Lord Khalis

Troubled Talk

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Diary

Today I went to the place where the broken officer Estarfin lay, but finding the chamber-door locked, I returned to the Hall of Fire, where I stayed a little while talking with Lord Dolthafaer, who speaks exceeding easy, yet with great authority.

A Harp Song of Memories

Story

The lavenders poked their pale petals through the arrangement of green herbs, among which they nestled themselves. From their many vantage points around the room, laid over tables, draped over shelves, they spread their light scent throughout the room, welcoming everyone with a peaceful atmosphere as they entered.

Put to Proof

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

When Parnard had sufficiently recovered from the shock so suddenly induced by the scholar’s gross and glaring indiscretion, he repaired to his office and feverishly set to work.

Relieved of Duty

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story
Laurelindo looked toward Estarfin, still asleep and alive, before turning back to what he was doing... getting the room back in working order. Bandages were replaced already, but now he was listing the salves used and the ingredients needed to made salves anew.

Something More

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Diary

My dearest journal,

I finally know what it is I have been searching for all these years! All those patrols on the moors, scouting for enemies and beasts, yes...but also more. Something tugging at my mind.

Up in the misty Mountains with my captain and fellow Arrows...I tasted it on the crisp air, heard it with the wargs' howls and felt it as the snow and wind nipped at my face. The thrill, the adventure of being somewhere I had never been. Danger waiting on the next hill. Every movement and sound, a sign that meant life or death.
