Born as the result of a secret & illicit affair between a local lord and a tavern wench, Kosei has always been something of a lone wolf.

After his birth Kosei's mother was paid a comely sum of money to move them both quietly away, lest news of the affair and Kosei's existance become known.

With his mother's love and his father's money Kosei received an educated upbringing. He also inherited his father's skill with a bow and had, for a time, been employed as gamekeeper by a Breeland governor. That was until the governor's wife begin to take a "special interest" in him.

Things quickly became awkward and so Kosei headed north to Archet to seek a new life.

From there circumstances soon saw Kosei introduced to The Shades, whom he joined as lute player.

Originally renting a room at the Prancing Pony, Kosei's fortunes soon rose, allowing him to take up permanent residence in a small neighbourhood called Millshaws, just south of Staddle.

Next to his bow, Kosei's most treasured possesion is his lute, which he keeps by his side no matter where his travels may take him.
