The knowledgeable of local history may have heard of the Temperancia family for its line of dedicaded soldiers, militiamen and the inclusion of a known gentle-blooded some generations ago. For the service of Captain Oakley Temperancia in the Third Age against the Orc uprising, they were awarded a small piece of land in the Bree-land. In this small valley, a village, later known as Rockwell, arised. Rockwell would be the last known legacy of the Temperancias where they have quietly served and dwindled in number ever since. Today's known, living members consist of Captain Angus Temperancia and his only child, Charlotte Temperancia. A wide array of children resulted from the marriage of Ava Temperancia, sister of Captain Angus Temperancia, with George Holloway, a man of a wealthy merchant family with distant bloodties with the Temperancias. It is said that Charlotte Temperancia left Rockwell recently and has found residence in Bree.
