Tinugiel
| Name | Tinugiel |
|---|---|
| Occupation | Wanderer |
| Age | Old |
| Race | Elf |
|---|---|
| Residence | The Old Forest |
| Kinship |
| Outward Appearance | Tinugiel seems young and without worries at first glance. However, her dark eyes betray a long life and much experience. Her dark hair and pale skin hints at a Noldorin heritage, but one cannot be certain. Even for an elf, she carries herself with an astonishing amount of grace, and many have claimed her to be a beauty amongst beauties. However, it is a queenly beauty, but rather an aura of compassion. There is nothing contrieved nor conscious about her grace, and all seems to spring from an honest open heart without filter. Her voice is soft and melodious, and she speaks in a manner of one, who has not long spoken. The words fall slowly and elaborately, as if they are turned over in her mind many a time. Some claim that her voice will sooth the angry, calm the agitated and heal the hurt. Others claim she is simply somewhat dim-witted. She is mostly clad in a long robe in the colours of the forest, and a pleasant scent of woodlands surround her. However, in rare times of need, she may be seen wearing a set of light, white leather armour. |

Background
Tinugiel has long made her home in the Old Forest of Buckland. She has wandered it while it still connected to the forest of Fangorn and beyond, while Middle Earth was still largely clad in trees. Amongst all living things, she makes her home, tending to the trees, the plants and the beasts, seeking to sooth their spirits and dampen their anger or torment.
Often, she is seen speaking to a rabbit, a tree or an angered beast, but it is unclear whether there is any mutual understanding, or if it is naught but the actions of a simple mind.
Having long wandered the Forest of Old, she is an old acquaintance of Iarwen Ben-Adar, and frequents his house. She seeks to bring a little consistency in his somewhat haphazard tending of the forest. She ventures not to call him a friend, and indeed, should you ask him, he may not remember her name, even though generations have passed since they first met. However, the friendliness of his eyes upon her approach, exposes a respect and understanding of her efforts in the forest. It may, however, be more of an impression than actual recognition.
From time to time, Tinugiel wanders beyond the bounds of the forest. Sometims to the shire, sometimes to Rivendell. Often, however, her paths have no goal, and a stray deer in pain, or the scent of a new flower may lead her along roads long untravelled. In her time, she has wandered much of Middle Earth, curious and carefree as she seems. Deep in her eyes, however, a hint of worry can be seen... May she know more than she expresses?
