Although the Eldar show few signs of advanced age, Demelza's silver-grey hair, which she keeps long and wears swept upwards, together with the depth and steadiness of her gaze, signify how very old she is. Though capable of fighting fiercely in her quest to oppose the Shadow, at which times her Lore-Master's skills mean that she is animated and surrounded by the fury of Nature's fiercest elements which she calls upon, she is otherwise naturally peaceful and quiet of manner and slow and graceful of movement. Her disposition, although talkative, is typically studious and somewhat serious, and her speech is very formal and courteous, even by Eldar standards, although she is rather more inclined towards optimism and gentle humour than is typical of her Race. She is tall and slender and, when not attending to her Kin-Leader's duties or battling alongside her Kin-Friends, she is commonly to be seen, always accompanied by one of her beloved "pets" (which she regards more as equals, companions and friends), in her plain Scholar's robes, as she pursues her studies in Lord Elrond's magnificent Library in Rivendell, the dark and shadowed deeps of Moria's Twenty-first Hall, or the cheery Mathom-House in Michel Delving, where she also loves to relax and watch her crops growing as she practises her Farmer's skills. |

Background
(( PLEASE NOTE : HEAVILY OUTDATED : Extensive Re-Write In Progress ))
My fellow-adventurers in Middle-Earth, I greet and salute you.
Hailing from the Grey Havens in the West over three millennia ago, with the exodus of the Eldar from Valinor, my family settled in the Golden Forest of Lothlórien in centuries past.
Having lost my first husband in the same battle which saw the fall of the Noldor First Father, Gil-galad, and feeling the need to oppose the Darkness spreading throughout Middle-Earth and ruining all that I hold dear, I set upon a path to oppose the Enemy as best I could, as a Lore-Master and Historian, loving and studying ancient wisdom and using it to my best advantage, whether in battle or in Crafting, which is a great interest of mine.
After having travelled and adventured a while throughout Middle-Earth, I decided to establish my home, followed by our Kinship's Kin-House, in the Naradris District of the Elven Falathlorn Homesteads within Ered Luin, outside Duillond and close to Celondim, where I first set out upon my path to oppose the Shadow. My home and our Kin-House are always open to interested visitors or to travellers who might wish to rest awhile, and can be found at No.1 and No.5 Waterbank Road in the above-named District.
Having achieved all I can in my primary Vocation, being now proud to have earned the title of Westfold Master Scholar and achieved the status of Master of the Scholars' Guild, as well as delighted to have learned enough from the wise Hobbit-folk of The Shire to be entitled to call myself a Westfold Master Farmer and to be able to nurture to hearty strength the fruits of Nature which I have always found so beautiful, I now seek ever to improve my Lore-Master's skills. I also lead a mixed-Race Kinship, fully described within these Archives and known as Genesis of the Free, and at the side of my Kin-Friends I fight for all that remains of righteousness and goodness in Middle-Earth, although my current enforced absence from the Kinship, while I undertake a long and necessary journey alone, means that the Kinship is temporarily "Dormant" and is not, at the moment, accepting any new Recruits.
My proudest achievement is not, as one might think, related to any of my successful warring campaigns or my foundation, expansion and leadership of our Kinship, nor even to my prowess as a Scholar or Farmer, even though I have long loved ancient learning and much enjoy applying it in my Crafting activities and battles alike. Above all of this, I would prefer to be recognised for my great love and respect of Nature in all its wonder, and, having worked hard to achieve it, I will ever be honoured to be known by the title bestowed upon me by a truly wise Wizard whom I have been privileged to meet and whom I greatly admire, Radagast the Brown, in return for my help in aiding animals in need... the title of "Friend of the Wild". You may also know me as "Lady of Streams", for I have a lifelong love of the art of Fishing, and indeed the walls of my home and of our Kin-House bear witness to some of the more interesting catches I have managed to land as I have paused during my wanderings to pass a pleasant hour or two at stream's edge or lakeside, grateful always for the chance to reap the bounty with which Eru has blessed Middle-Earth's many waters.
Trying always to meet each new challenge, my -- and our Kinship's -- motto ever is to look...
To The Future!
Should any of you wish to read in more detail the story of my life, and discover rather more about me, I have written the broad tale of my life (so far!) and placed a copy within these Archives, to be found http://laurelinarchives.org/node/4099|here. I have also written, in http://laurelinarchives.org/node/4094|this document, and in what I hope you will find an entertaining style, the tale of how I first decided to take up my twin vocations of Lore-Master and Scholar.
May the Valar smile upon you and your path be ever bright in these dark times.
Farad vaer - good hunting!
