Background
Born in the year 2989 of the Third Age. His mother, Celethien was one of the eldest elven maidens who took refuge in Lothlorien with a love for blacksmithing (Pantheleon inherited his talent from his mother). She was previously in love with a captain from Numenor by the name of Tar-Athelon, who died shortly before his second son's birthday. Pantheleon's father was one of the Elendili. They chose to continue their life in Greenwood The Great before the return of Sauron. Soon after during his return, his parents were ambushed by a host of orcs from Dol Guldur under the command of Khamul the Easterling. A child-bearing Celethien managed to escape by boat to the Fords of Isen thanks to an intervention from her husband that required his life. Pantheleon was taken by the enemy, where he was raised as a bounty hunter and sent to serve in Angmar. Celethien gave birth to Achilleon in Rohan after this event where she also passed away. That was the seperation of the two children at birth.
Pantheleon became highly skilled as a marksman over the years. One of the Dark Lord's finest. Infact, he was the most powerful and unforgiving mercenary. However, he developed an attitude which consisted of him doing the dark deeds for his own enjoyment and amusement rather than taking account of doing it for Angmar. He was out of control; assassinating both Longbeards & Dourhands for prized shards; talking back and defying his orc leaders - ultimately he took off for his own and had to be bought back! After months of raging war between the free peoples of Eriador and the forces of Angmar, a final battle took place at the fortress of Tol Ascarnen in the Ettenmoors to the north. Pantheleon was assigned the rank 'commander' of the defending host of the remnants of Angmar. What he didn't know was that his brother Achilleon, was sent as a representative of Rohan to assist a battalion of Rivendell in capturing the keep. At one point they met but couldn't recognize each other - they clashed: sword and spear. Achilleon was at the brink of death when his brother got the upper hand of the dual; his blade held just an inch from the throat. It was at this very moment where Achilleon whispered a cry for help to his mother in an ancient tounge that only his brother recognized. Pantheleon was stunned with disbelief and took off his brother's helmet. The questions of his past began to slowly unravel. They were battling in a storage room when the stairs collapsed and trapped them inside. Achilleon told him everything about their parents (Celethien entrusted the Rohirrim to give this information to Achilleon in full detail when he came of age) and redeemed the heart of his brother. The spear and the sword that shown hatred towards each other, united in battle. The shield and the quiver fought side by side as Pantheleon turned on the forces of Sauron at that very minute to turn the tide of battle...
Pantheleon realised his true fate was to do great deeds in the name of the Free Peoples of Middle Earth. He confessed his allegiance to Elrond in a council shortly after the events in the Ettenmoors. Weeks after the fellowship of the ring arrived in Amon Hen, Pantheleon was called to aid in war in Southern Mirkwood by Celeborn himself as handpicked leader. During his stay and preperation in Caras Galadhon, something took place that was about to change the course of the world. Orome, the Valar of Skies and Trees - Aldaron; came to Pantheleon in a vision. A sight witnessed by the Lady Galadriel and the Galadhrim legions. Aldaron named him as his chosen, his symbolic being in Middle Earth. He passed on to him the Bow Of Valinor (an artifact with terrible precision, power, unforgiving and considered as the most dangerous yet graceful ranged weapon in history - Orome being the only wielder until now), his horse Nahar and a promised place in Valinor (immortality). He was named General of the Malledhrim soon after and called by The Lady for council. She told him how his father was killed by an orchestrated attack by the greatest tactician of Sauron, The Lieutenant of Dol Guldur many years ago. He looked into the mirror where Galadriel prophesized - "Only by your hand. By your bow and arrow, can Khamul of Dol Guldur be banished and sent back to his master." A couple of months later, the Malledhrim under Pantheleon, laid siege to the armies of Dol Guldur. A battle that went on for three days with short intervals. A battle under the trees. It was on the second day where Pantheleon shot down the Lieutenant's steed and confronted him on the pinnacle of Dol Guldur. An encounter that lasted for hours. Some of the Malledhrim and their foes stood watching, not paying attention to the war down below. Curses were thrown and Pantheleon swore to avenge his father, channeling Aldaron's strength through him. Echoes of an elvish blade and a morgul blade clanging shot down to the earth. Rain poured and thunder roared. An arrow bathed in the light of the Valar pierced his dark heart - Khamul the Easterling was sent back to Mordor, defeated. War still rages in the north, yet victory is near...
