Background
Born in Bree-Land to William and Elizabeth Roseblood, Idhval had a rather bland existence for nearly the first decade of his life. Nothing at all set him apart from anyone else with the exception of his silver tongue being able to convince anyone of just about anything. It was the Summer after his seventh Winter that his life took a drastic and sudden turn, for reasons still unknown to Idhval his parents left without a word, not even trying to sneak away. They forced him to watch helplessly as they rode away. It was then that he began his lift as a street urchin.
Idhval set out alone having refused to stay at the Orphanage due to his sudden and immature hatred for any parent figure. He wandered aimlessly through Bree town until he came upon a small alley, barely 6 ft by 6ft. Stepping closer he noticed a small shape huddled up in a corner emitting whimpering cries, turning the bundle over he saw the face of a young girl, Elwenith, hardly even two years old. Using what little coins he could earn and swipe Idhval nursed the girl back to health he was adopted by her as a father figure, at only age seven. Living on the streets, and surviving, required a talent for fighting, a skill which Idhval learned fast and well.
As time went on Idhval grew it adolescence, by then he had given up begging and moved on passed stealing. He now fought in small tournaments on the streets to supply the needs of himself and Elwenith, who had begun placing bets on him to bring in extra coin. Having between them earned enough to survive and to an extent thrive, his view on the occupants of Beggar’s Alley changed dramatically, a floodgate opening within him. Placing several investments with the Merchants of Bree his income was greatly increased, providing him with the means necessary to begin supply a small amount of food and coin to the people.
At age twenty-one Idhval Roseblood was accepted into service of House Hawthorn as a guardsman. Excelling in training he quickly rose to the rank of Sergeant, at which he proved vital in the defence of Haynbury from the forces of Angmar, before being promoted to Captain of the Guard. But it was at this time that Idhval’s life took yet another tragic turn. After several strange appearances of an elderly traveler, Elwentih was murdered by the man with a poisoned dagger. Her death was swift and merciful, but it still sent Idhval into a state of despair and distrust, during which he left the service of House Hawthorn, having lost faith in their ability to protect. Fortunately for him, his woes always came with a bright side. A courier arrived at his doorstep summoning him to Gondor. Reluctanty accepting the summons he made the journey to Gondor where, to his surprise, he received his inheritance and became a Baron of Gondor, though to those who know he is a noble refer to him as a “Lord” in Bree.
Idhval continued his life eventually moving out of his depression, and using his inheritance and the newly found income it provided to better care for the people of Beggar’s Alley. He by chance met a lass by the name of Dessy, with whom he almost immediately fell in love, and only about a month later they were wed on a Summer's eve. While married to her Idhval had a daughter named Laerissa. Sadly...Nine years after Laerissa's birth Dessy passed away from fever, Idhval buried her next to his adopted daughter. Nearly six years later, Idhval has accepted the loss of his beloved, but the memories of her will never leave him.
But alas, it seems for the tender-hearted and do gooders happiness is fleeting, for one day his Laerissa collapsed whilst strolling with her father through the country-side. She lived long enough for Idhval to carry his only child home, but by the time a physician was able to arrive it was too late. They told him she died from losing the will to live(of a heart-failure in actuality).
(Most recent addition) Coming to terms with his new lot in life, Idhval reached out to an old friend by the name of Saervoth, just in time to bid him farewell on his journey back to his homeland of Rohan and inherit the responsibility of caring for a small squirrel named Perekin. Now, Idhval spends his days in leisure and caring for the squirrel who seems to be fond of everyone but him.
