Bandit, blaggard, bastard, all of these titles have been attributed to Michael Blackbent. While his primary motivations may be for material wealth, he is not completely void of moral character. He merely lives by his own "unique" code of honor.

Normally, his first name "Michael" is only used by those he grew up with or who were immediate family members. However, due to events in his past he was cast out by his father and has gone by only his surname "Blackbent" ever since. Despite this, he will most often introduce himself to new acquaintances, potential marks, or folks he generally does not trust as "Briarwood" to protect his true name from being known.
