Tall and elegant as the Noldo of old. Her long dark hair flows like the wings of a raven. Looking deep into her eyes reveals all the sorrow she has witnessed through the past three ages. Her face however, glows of the hope she still feels in her heart.

Background

Born in the year 210 of the first age of the sun in the hidden Noldo city of Gondolin. Denebrian's parents were among those who participated in the kin-slayings as the Noldor returned to Middle earth in pursuit of the Silmarils.

Denebrian spent much of her youth playing with her father's weapons and shields. Having caught his daughter on many occasions doing this, her father decided to give her formal training in their proper use. She studied the light sword and shield and the use of the great sword under her father's guidance. This training would prove valuable as Denebrian was one of only a few survivors of Morgoth's fury unleashed upon her home city. She fled the city with other survivors which were led by Tuor and Idril Celebrindal.

Denebrian got separated from the Gondolin refugee group and found herself wandering the wilderness of Beleriand for many years. During this time she spent some time among men, learning their tongue and ways in hopes to better understand the world she now felt lost in. After many days and nights of traveling alone and desperate she finally crossed into Ossiriand and found the home of her ancient cousins, the Green-elves of Ered Lindon.

Denebrian was not within Lindon long when she witnessed the fires in the skies and the shaking of the earth coming from the lands she had once called home. The Valar had come to war with Morgoth. Denebrian eventually was reunited with those of her kin that had also made the road to Ered Lindon, even meeting the new high-king Gil Galad. After a few years had passed, Denebrian married the Green-elf merchant Ceinlindor during a winter festival within Ered Lindon. They both took the name Wintersong as a semblance of their love for one another.

The couple would then move to the lands of Eregion and settle in Ost-in-Edhil so Ceinlindor could begin trading with the dwarves of Khazad-dum within Moria. A daughter, Tashdel would be born the following year. Eight years to the day of her birth, Ceinlindor would be slain within Moria during a goblin ambush. Again Denebrian would mourn a great loss and again it would not be long until she must once again flee her home. Within two years of the death of her husband and shortly after the forging of the rings of power, the Noldo of Eregion would have war thrust upon them from the lieutenant of Morgoth, Sauron.

Denebrian took Tashdel and fled to a refuge watched over by a captain of Gil Galad, Elrond of Imladris. Denebrian to this day resides within Imladris, known to Rivendell by men, along with her daughter Tashdel and the sister of her fallen husband, Dolnareth. She is a member of the Bar-en-Vanimar Hammer division where she defends its banners.
