| Outward Appearance | A tall elven woman with a solemn expression, red hair that is usually pulled backwards in a half-braid, and green eyes. She often looks sad or lost in thought, and rarely smiles. Her clothes are predominantly dark green colored, and she prefers cloak and trousers to wearing dresses. She often foregoes shoes in favour of feeling the earth beneath her feet. She carries no discernible weapons and has no outward injuries or scars. If she wears short sleeves, one can see dwarven style tattoos running up her arms. Around her neck is a locket, and if you were to open it, a likeness of a book would be revealed. Two swans with adamant eyes are on its pages, the one on the left is swimming, looking at the one on the right landing, coming back to its mate. The book's pages seem to be made of labradorite, a shimmering kind of gem, making it look like the swans are in the waves of dawn or dusk, depending on how the light touches it. Upon closer inspection, one might notice that there are some cracks in the labradorite but if they are due to the gemstone's nature or the result of an attempted restoration at the hands of an expert jeweller is hard to determine. |

Background
Sáquilëa (early quenya for 'fiery red, scarlet colored') was born during the early years of the sun in Beleriand. In her first years she witnessed the construction of the mighty realm of Nargothrond, for her father was a Noldorin smith tasked with aiding the fabrication of the great city. Not much is known of her mother, only that it must have been her that Sáquilëa got her fiery colored hair from, and after which she named her. With a busy father and an absent mother, Sáquilëa found herself more often in the company of the dwarves of the Ered Luin, who were helping with the construction, and they soon loved the young bright elf. She taught them a bit of her language, and it was one of them who named her 'Ilumírë', 'world-jewel', half out of his great love for the child and half out of mockery that she was more worthy than any Silmaril could ever be. She honors this name to this day.
After the Sons of Fëanor fled to Nargothrond after the Dagor Bragollach, she then got to know Telperinquar, who was later known as Celebrimbor.
It was he who later gave her the name 'Naruiell' (sindarin for 'red (headed) daughter') when she studied under him in Eregion. When she dwelled there, her affinity for dwarves gave her an advantage in conversing with the dwarves of Khazad-dûm, and she had many friends among them. Naruiell left Eregion before Annatar came, in pursuit of knowledge that had less to do with the depths of the earth and more to do with the depths of the night sky and its endless amount of stars.
She learned of Celebrimbor's passing during her travels, and has been carrying that grief and guilt ever since.
After many years of wandering, Naruiell has recently found her home in the house of Bar-en-Vanimar, among those she considers friends and even family. To celebrate her official joining of the house, she was given a beautful swan locket, which she now always wears around her neck.
