| Outward Appearance | Tall, lithe and fair, with the vitality and gracefulness gifted to all elves, Auriaen posesses an air of calm and gentleness making her a reassuring prescence to be around. Her hair is a fine silver, reflecting her heritage, kept neat and long and her eyes a brilliant blue, said by some to reflect the stars which she enjoys gazing upon so much. On her person she will always have one or likely more musical instruments, although she favours the harp and flute and can often be found playing one or the other, sometimes singing along with a melodic voice of a clear brook on a spring day. Though she favours gowns, they are highly impractical for traversing the wilds and so she makes do with outfits of light leathers and cloth. |

Background
Auriaen is the youngest of two children and only daughter of Aradan and Silael and sister to Cálduin. She has a mixed yet proud heritage, with her great grandmother on her mother's side being Vanyar and her father being from a pure Sindarin line, distant relatives to the house of Olwë, though the only thing that may link them now is their distinctive silver hair and grey eyes.
Born under the golden boughs of Lorién some time in the late second age, she has remained there almost her entire life, learning of music and art, history and language. She would also spend a lot of time with her brother, learning the ways of horses and became quite the accomplished rider.
It is only recently, with time in Middle-Earth growing shorter that Auriaen felt the keen pull of the lands outside of the woods. She could not be at peace knowing that all she had learnt was experience by others and not herself. So after much self debate, she sought leave and having had it granted, set out on a journey to meet the peoples of Middle-Earth, to experience their ways, hear their tales and ultimately record the happenings of an ending age.
