Background
Born and raised in a small city in western Gondor, Amathan is the youngest of three sons. Aderthor, his eldest brother, left northward on an errand nearly a decade ago and disappeared, leaving no trace of where he could have gone. The middle brother, Areher, works as a sailor on the trading ship Hithaeglir.
Years after both these happenings, Amathan at last comes of age, immediately surprising his widower father with a declaration that he intends to go north after his brother. Currently, he follows a trail years old, with nothing but his wit and middling skill to aid him.
