Outward Appearance

Dwarven perception: Olruna is a maiden of relatively average height, size and appearance. Her luscious black hair and warm brown skin tone suggest a family heritage trailing back to the Blacklock clan of the far East, though her manner of speech is like any other Longbeard of the Blue Mountains. Her clothing is often androgynous (to protect herself) but always stylish and of good quality. She greatly treasures the tools of her craft: a precious set of carnelian runestones.

Non-Dwarven perception: "Olli" is a queer fellow, if anything he's certainly not the warrior type. He seems more refined and less gruff than the average Dwarf, as well as slightly shorter. He also appears to take pride in his personal appearance: good clothes, always some jewelry, a short but intricately braided beard which he decorates with golden beads, sometimes he even wears flowers in his long, well-groomed hair. He carries a velvet pouch with him, filled with the engraved gemstones he uses for his fortune-telling act.

Background

While she herself was born and raised within the safety of Thorin's Hall, her family's journey there was long and perilous.

It was her grandfather who made the decision to leave Rhûn and depart westwards, where the Dark Lord's influence might not reach his wife and children. By the time the family reached Rhovanion, he realized they weren't the only Temámir to have entered that land: It was the 2790th year of the Third Age, and in the wake of the cowardly murder of the Longbeard King Thrór, a united army of all Dwarven clans was being formed. Both he and his sons answered the muster of the Haban'akkâ and fought under the banner of King Britu and Princess Jegín. Amidst the horrors of the war, Onid, the youngest of the sons somehow found the love of his life: Qara, a Temámir girl who tended to the army's messenger-ravens.

After miraculously surviving the war, the family followed their Longbeard brothers-in-arms to their homelands and once settled in Thorin's Hall, the young soldier married his bride. In the Blue Mountains it seemed they had finally found the chance to the peaceful existence they had sought for so long.

Olruna has known little else than this peace. She has lived most of her life relatively sheltered within Thorin's Hall, delving the libraries for lore on runes and prophecies.

Friends
The Dwarves of Thorin's Hall and those she met in Erebor. Among them are bold Nistrid and the travelling merchant Frimsi.
Relatives
Parents Onid Rimelock and Qara Goldspeaker, a few cousins, aunts and uncles.
Rivals/Enemies
Somehow also Frimsi. She finds Elves a bit strange and intimidating (they're just so ancient and grave and inscrutable) but she doesn't hate them.
Loves
Walks in the snow, cozy warm clothes, a plate of roast boar and a pint of Durin's Headache after those walks, ravens, the smell of fire, gems, rings, hair and beard jewels.
Hates
When too many people at once want something from her or when her craft gets mocked.
Motivation
To help people feel more secure within the uncertainty of life, via her rune casting.
Quotes
"Nothing is set in stone."
