For as long as she can remember, Githwyn only ever wanted to join her older brothers as a Rider of the Mark. As small children, the three siblings played together, until they were old enough to realise Githwyn was treated differently, such as being scolded when she asked to ride alongside the men.

As Githwyn grew up, she blossomed into a beautiful young woman, courted by various men of Rohan... and even from beyond. It was expected that she would settle down and get married to a suitable husband.

However, this was not what she wanted.

The only time she could truly feel free was when riding her beloved horse Aefentid. It was on one of these rides when she came up with a scheme.

Stealing her father's armour, she rode with an éored into battle as a man under the pseudonym Holdred. Her brothers, being her brothers, recognised her and Aefentid... but vowed to keep her secret so long as she didn't behave recklessly.

And so, "Holdred" rode out alongside her brothers.

Nowadays, her adventures take her far beyond the plains of Rohan, even as far as Bree-land; she can often be seen in the Prancing Pony when in the area.
