Nauraa

Nauraa
| Name | Nauraa |
|---|---|
| Status | Dormant |
| Occupation | Dressmaker and seamstress |
| Age | Now half-past-twenty |
| Race | Man |
|---|---|
| Residence | Bree-Land, an hour out of the city by foot |
| Kinship |
| Outward Appearance | An unassuming, if shorter than average, young woman of unathletic build. A faint accent and darker skin than the residents of Bree-land she finds around her betray that she is farther from home than she lets on. Even on the road, her fondness for elaborate braids, intricate jewelry, and brightly-colored clothing belies her apparent lack of any wealth or even a permanent place to live, and she carries herself with a good deal more formality than her current situation merits. Two items are ever-present: a knife made from ivory, and a string of animals' teeth knotted into a necklace. She carries no other weapons, and has none of the leanness or strength of a hunter, so these must have been gifts or acquired some other way.

Background
Raised in the southernmost regions of Forochel, Nauraa learned more of the lands beyond the ice-bay than most Lossoth from the hunters and adventure-seekers her tribe reluctantly entertained. Eager to see more of the people and places she'd only heard about, she convinced her father, a chieftain of the Lossoth, to let her accompany a trading caravan heading into Evendim. The group was doomed from the start, ambushed by Gauredain hunting farther south than usual and ill-prepared to fight off anything worse than brigands. A group of hunters tracking the wolf-men arrived too late to save any of the caravan except Nauraa.
Having buried her companions, including her twin brother, Nauraa planned to go north and return home, but when the rangers refused to change their course, she resolved to head off on her own. It would have been a good plan, if she knew how to hold a weapon or stay alive on her own. For some time, she found herself in the company of a loud-mouthed ranger, a visitor from a secret society, an aspiring minstrel, and a menagerie of rescued animals in a safehouse outside of Bree...until the ranger and the visitor moved on, leaving her practically alone in a strange city. Now, having found work in Bree's bustling markets as a seamstress and dressmaker, she hopes to gather the skills, supplies, and friends to eventually return home.
