His facial details reflect those of a wealthy Bree-lander in their mid-twenties, still in his prime without doubt. His visage shows few signs of aging, and his voice, even less. His tone of voice is soothing to the ear, like that of a bard. His facial hair is kept well and neatly, cropped into a formed, slightly greyed goatee around which engulfs his lips.
Often covered by a hat or hood, his hair is jet-black brushed from his forehead to either side. Several strands of silver are visible across his hair, perhaps to hint at his age. His eyes are a welcoming hazel colour, shadowed by dark, sleek eyebrows.
His most prominent feature is his rather poor stature and would it not be for his mature posture, he could easily be mistaken for a child from behind, standing only at 5'5'', falling well below the average height.Due to this, he has gained an alias; Stumpy, to his dismay, and he does indeed appear as a stump in the company of foreigners. His steps are near-silent, due to to his weight and footwear. Another noticeable feature would be his quick and steady hands, zinging back and forth between whatever it may be in his hands, whether it be from one tankard of ale to the next or to swift between notes on his harp.
As a mirror to its master, his steed stands at a pathetic height too, a cross-breed between a pony and horse designed for hobbits, though it has evidently been adapted for his own use. Scrawny, though not famished, his mount is a dark-haired and plain with a simple saddle and pair of stirrups.

Background
Branith Stumpwood, often times shortened to Stumpy or merely 'Stump' for the benefit of lazy Bree-landers was born to a Watcher in Trestlebridge and a historian. Spending his early years in his home-town, he became more and more rebellious to his parents' dismay. On a Friday evening, just before supper, an exquisite vase in his house fell mysteriously from its pedestal. At that moment, enraged, his parents left to the market in search of a replacement ornament. The timing was precise and the young Stumpwood took his chance to leave, taking with him only his mother's lute and a satchel of coins with one goal - to become the greatest bard Middle Earth had ever seen.
