In contrast to her sister, Runéa has fair ash blonde hair, and eyes that are a pale, marshy colour - so pale at times they lose the claim to any faint greenish tint at all. She has a mole on her left cheek.

Her well-worn garb is for her work, which is either in the apothecary's garden, or riding out between the farmlands to the hills and woods, to gather what cannot be grown in the garden. Riding out alone, she is seen wearing a scarf to conceal part of her face, and binds her hair close and tucked away in her cloak.

When work is left behind, she wears a soft green dress after the common style of the Mark.
