Stout, short, hardy.

Thickets of a ginger beard wrap the rugged line of the dwarf, often braided or embellished with small baubles of gold and iron. His face is adorned with those famous lines of the dwarf-kin, and joined by half a dozen scars across his nose, lip, and eyebrow.

Dalbran stands above 4 feet and five inches, broad-shouldered and barrel-chested, a heavy-set gut above the belt.

If you ever see a frothing whirlwind of ginger hair and a guttural, roaring voice, you've found Dalbran Gurnisson.

Background

Dalbran Gurnisson, born to a soldier and a healer, spent his youth in the Iron Hills with his brothers, working in the forges, mostly.

When King Thorin called, Dalbran marched as a member of the Five Hundred to reclaim Erebor, and survived to tell the tale. Haunted by the battle, he returned to the Iron Hills, served in the army, and, for reasons he rarely shares, was forced to leave in dishonour, shortly after the disappearance of his father Gurrni.

He roamed for years, eventually meeting Galtharian, with whom he forged an unbreakable friendship, and together they opened the Harp and Hammer Inn in Bree.

Now, Dalbran tends to his tavern, and waits for the day when he shall see his father again, and be able to undo the slight that tarnishes the good name of his line.
