Outward Appearance

At first glance, one who is of the eorlingas might notice his dark brown hair and roughly trimmed beard that is one shade darker still. Lacking the blonde haircolor that most eorlingas take pride in, one might assume that a mixed heritage may be found at some point in the family history. Besides that, there is no doubt that this man is a rohirrim at heart. His voice is loud and clear, and carries the heavy accent of a true horselord when speaking the common tongue.

He appears to be of slightly more then average height and build for a rohirrim; while he's far from being a supreme muscular specimen of man, it is quite clear that he's by all means not a weakling either. Broad shoulders and heavy arms witness of time spent in training and hard labour. He proudly sports a scalemail hauberk (combined with chainmail) in heavy combat, for great protection while not imparing his flexibility or movement too much. Other lighter armor in form of chainmail and leather may be used when the situation does not demand heavy plates. Usually seen wearing a large bastard sword that he wields with two hands. When dressed for off-duty hours, a heavy jacket - or just the gambeson - is normally used.

While often keeping up a rather rough, provocative and untamed behaviour - very much like that of an undisciplined dog of war - he do have a warm heart and an inspirational attitude hidden deep inside that shines through at well selected times; the traits of a captain and a leader, however faint they may be. There are also rare occasions when his words unknowingly form into those that comes from a poet's heart, though why he would have taken up this kind of talking he does not know himself. Perhaps he have just taken too many blows to the head lately, or have found inspiration elsewhere.

For those who knew Denholm before he returned to the Riddermark (those within the company of Ehris who did not follow Ceobrand over the mountains), disgraced and alone, it may seem that he has changed during this time (or has he?). The reason he'd give to anyone who wonder whatever happened along the way, he would only say: "I came home. That's all that matters."
