Gamforth is a silent man, as silent as he is kind to fellow Eorlings, the man wears his armour proudly to uphold his family's honour and that of the one he is trying to make with his wife Rosehildda by his side.

Equipped with a greatsword on many occassions, his steed would still bear a one-handed sword on its hip, a spear and shield on the other.

Fearless in combat for days, in exchange for a minute of peace near the hearth

Gamforth in personality

Gamforth's character of kindness comes from the experience of sadness and misfortune shared with his wife, the pair stayed strong and loyal to eachother and one could not thrive without the other in both combat and the peaceful household life.

He is a singer, plays a lute and increases moral of his fellow riders with this at times when they are camped. Knowing the most traditional of songs from his own early years and during the training he has followed by the hand of a harsh father in the town of Snowbourn.

Gamforth's history

A cry in the night, of a town near the Isen, a mother bears a child. Fresh into this unknown world it would show great use of its lungs in a roar that filled the hut with joy. A father that holds up the boy and gives him the name 'Gamforth' to upon a day serve King and Country.

And so he will, so was dreamt of, until their village was invaded by raiding parties of dunlendings and Orcs, forcing the family to flee but lose its mother in exchange.. So they fled far, to Snowbourn, where his father never spread his mouth into a smile, his joy died with his wife. And Gamforth as only son is trained under hard circumstances that most adult men would barely survive. In that time he took the liberty of going outside of the walls, just to stay away from his father but knowing he will have to go back someday.

Then he met Rose.

He saw a girl years later, when almost a man, watching her do her household duty in such a peaceful looking life.. But as he follows her, seeing she is being trained by the man she lives with, the man older of age and seems like a paternal figure. It took him a full month to finally approach her and when he did, he would make an absolute goof of himself.. But luckily, from that day on.. They have barely parted side. She made him open up and they both shared stories, finding comparisons to eachothers life, entwining them together.. Until it entwined their fingers together, to start a love that at first felt surreal but now.. Is something he could not live without.

They grew up together, the loss of his father set him free but still offered sadness. When it was certain Rose was with child, they married to one another. All seemed good.. When the child died, in Rose's belly, a loss none can take lightly. It almost drove eachother away and Gamforth turned into gambling and drink to compensate, feeling guilt.

They finally found one another, his love for Rose was stronger than for the dice and mead. From that day on they left Snowbourn together, back to the Isen, to Fréasburg where one could find them.
