Background

A Teleri of the First age from the Nelyar clan, Lindawen (songmaid) left her companion Avanwë when he refused the summons of the Valar, however with the rebellion of the Noldor she saw her chance at returning to middle earth, wishing to return to seek out her love again, and travelled back over the Helcaraxë with the host of Fingolfin.
Lindawen found Avanwë in Nan Elmoth working at his craft of a smith, and there they pledged their love, even as Thingol and Melian had in long years past, after many years they became estranged after her husband went to seek his lord Eöl and returned a darkened husk, then she changed her name to Nirlind (tear-song) Pelethamdir (fading-hope)
After the fall of Doriath Avanwë went over the mountains of Ered Luin seeking Cuiviénen abandoning Nirlind and following the war of wrath she abided at Mithlond waiting in folorn hope lamenting that her love would return, but with the impending war to come and has decided to once again seek him out as before seeking reconciliation before she travels across the sea.
