Trulie is the daughter of a wealthy furrier, who is on the council of the Merchant Adventurer's society. She assists him by doing some book keeping and keeping house for him.

She is her father's delight and he is fiercely protective of his eldest daughter. Being a quiet woman, without much sense of adventure, prefering hearth and home, she mostly accepts the restrictions on her.

Trulie has many acquaitances, amongst the merchants and staff in and around the society's meeting hall, but is only close to her maid. Her younger sister, Ailys, is much more of a free spirit and, since her marriage (and subsequent widowhood), has more freedom too. Trulie is coming to envy this, perhaps in time, she will find the confidence to stand up to her father.
