C O M P A N I O N S N I M R A N T: Steed; white-pelted, black boots, mane and tail. P O N D E R: Intrusive feline; all black, yellow-eyed, stout.
A T A G L A N C E From the rouge of her lips to the subtle curl of hair as black as ink, it is apparent this woman practices preening by nature. Her hands are notably soft and well taken care of, unlike many under her vocation, with not a toughened ridge to be seen. She is without scars, at least so if her garb allows, the sole flaw of her skin being the mild blush of the sun's cruelty. And then there are her eyes: like silver, with a strange, lasting melancholy to their glaze. What shape her thin frame may have is shrouded by layers upon layers of cloth.
N O T E: If Auphine is without her shawl, or if the sleeves of her tunics are rolled above her elbows, there are burn scars discernible at even an offhand inspection: marred flesh, pink in color, much in the pattern of splatter at the tops of her forearms and biceps. The scarring dominates most of the neck and extends down the entirety of her back.
H E R N A T U R E The hardship endured of healing within strife has brought restraint to Auphine's common life. She is tame and amiable, not to be mistaken as passive — and by no means is she timid, with a matured tenacity of herself rooted by a decade in her profession. She knew empathy in her youth, and in time adopted a maternal instinct that is projected as mere intolerance. Affection is given freely - and without second thought - as she is one to nurture, but it is something that holds a measure of falsity. Above all, the act of healing has overshadowed her life and branded her a caretaker, but her burdens made a woman benumbed.

Background
A F R A C T I O N O F H I S T O R Y
Auphine would say her parents are worthy of praise: a starlet mother, bold and kind, and a father with an adherence to the Belfalas infantry. As she aged, her household became both a place of living and an infirmary, and it is there that her dedication to healing developed. Within the Gate Town of Dol Amroth, Auphine’s mother became seasoned to a beloved theater for coin and acclaim, interweaving her daughter's upbringing with stagecraft. And at sixteen, with self-declared aptness, that eager daughter took to the fields, mending her kin for a decade.
