Sáranassë could be called slender, though she has the broad back and well-shaped shoulders of someone who has the strength to draw a bow with ease. She is as tall as one would expect of a daughter of the Noldor, yet moves with the supple grace of one much lighter, her footsteps as soundless as a cat's.

She keeps her hair short; its colour is a deep brown that can be mistaken for black in the shade, but flares with russet highlights in the sun. Her eyes are equally mercurial - grey touched by hints of the colours of fading leaves.

Most of the time, she wears well-worn clothes suited to roaming the wild, the only distinguishing feature the Star of Fëanor marking on her bracer. Yet in Rivendell, she may sport her indigo Arrow uniform, or even the few pieces of fine clothing - coloured a bright crimson - that she has preserved.
