Forostel Maltaperya

A knowledgeable Sylvan Elf of Lothlorien, Forostel fashions long, free flowing hair occasionally falling over the intricate designs of circlets she tends to be fond of. Her skin is light and smooth, nearly free of scars or history of injury, as her collective wisdom of herbs, health care, and medicinal treatment has granted her the role of a healer within Rivendell, far from physical harm.

Forostel finds comfort in wearing Elven cloth robes and thin boots but can sometimes be found barefoot just outside the Guest Rooms of Rivendell. Her studies keep her very focused and in these times she ties her hair back to avoid it falling onto her books and materials.

Her serious, yet inquisitive nature leaves her with little expression, even in her  eyes - but her uninhibited words allow insight on her thoughts over matters and conversation.

Background

Forostel was born within the city of Caras Galadhon where she matured, studying the role of a healer. Her brother, Ebbephant, also studied alongside her - excelling in all aspects of the subject, as well as training in the art of the sword. Forostel, however, did not pursue the same path as her focus remained in medicinal and herbal needs.
The two held a strong bond for the many years they lived in Caras Galadhon where, in their time together, they were bestowed titles with respect to their hobbies. These titles corresponding to their interests, as Ebbephant appreciated the beauty of newly smithed steel blades and their ornate Elven designs, as well as fashioning an unusual hair color that shone silver beneath starlight. It was Anglamel, a close family friend, that gifted him the name Celebperya, Silver Half. Forostel often gathered the golden leaves of the Mallorn, sometimes using them as dyes for her paints, scented essences, and circlet decorations. Her hair, being nearly as gold as the leaves of Lórien, granted her the name Maltaperya - Golden Half.
Thirty years they spent side by side in their studies, becoming masters of their craft until there came the day that Ebbephant departed to Rivendell to join a
unit of warriors where he would battle against the armies of Sauron.
It was not long until a number of others began speaking of leaving for the Undying Lands, including her mother and father. In this, the time came for her family to sail West, where Forostel chose to remain in Middle Earth.
Becoming quickly concerned for the fate of her brother, she was escorted from Lothlórien into Rivendell where she was reunited with her brother, remaining in the Healer's Quarters to further her teachings.
Then came the fateful day where Ebbephant was severely injured by the loss of his arm, returning from battle just barely alive. Putting their combined knowledge of healing to work, they managed to save Ebbephant's life, but his role as a warrior had come to an end. There was no purpose for him to remain in Rivendell any longer, and as their mutual parents, he chose to sail into Valinor, leaving Forostel the final member of their family in Middle Earth.
Forostel continues to live in Rivendell, constantly pursuing the level of wisdom her brother achieved to one day take his place, not only as a master healer, but as a warrior - standing place as a wall against the forces of Sauron to prevent the spread of darkness across Arda.
