Background
Laighean is the first son of Laighaire, son of Eadaire. Their family are staunchly loyal to the House of Eorl, and have served as wardens across all of the Riddermark since the Oath of Eorl. Eadaire moved the family from the Eastfold to the Norcrofts to better safeguard the northern lands, as well as to aid in the colonizing efforts in Eorlsmead. Laighean was born in Faldham and was training in the use of spears and javelins both on foot and from horseback. His siblings are: sister Gyldwine (22), brother Eamon (17), and sister Aislin (12). They live with their parents Laighaire and Gwennyth in Faldham, though the girls are known to visit their cousins in the Westfold.
Laighean often patrolled the borders of the Riddermark around Eorlsmead in his spare time, which lead him to a scout party of Goblins crossing the Anduin from the East. Charging headlong into a fight, he was surprised to be joined in battle by an elf warrior and another woman. It turns out the woman, Naethwyn of Dale, had tracked the goblins some distance across Rhovanian during one of her hunting trips. The elf warrior, Angthel of Lorien, had tracked them when they wandered too near the forests of Lothlorien and given chase. The three discovered scraps of parchment on the Goblins detailing some on-goings in Eriador. While all three were hard-pressed to abandon their homes, they all agreed to follow the trail to Eriador for the greater good of goblin-slaughter and evil-undoing.
Their company has grown in recent weeks, and as such they have decided to formally name themselves the Erbin i-Min Dhuath, in the tongue of the Elf warrior because Laighean can neither read nor write and the Dale woman was too preoccupied with the campfires.
