Outward Appearance

Appearance: Eden is youthful as can be. She stands on the short side of Bree girls, but perhaps has a few inches left to grow. She is a bit lithe, only able to lift approximately fifty pounds at a time, without needing help. Her eyes are a dull mix of green and blue, the former more prominent during the day, the latter at night. She has dirty blonde hair that falls just at the middle of her back, which is almost always well brushed and organized.  Lately she has started to develop a more feminine figure - Greenwill women are late bloomers, it would seem.

Political Affiliation: "I have a great deal of opinions. If everyone agreed to them, things would run better. But they wont. So I don't care."

Religion: Eden is a firm realist. She only believes what she has seen, or can otherwise be proven.

Education: As you can probably tell, Eden is exceptionally well studied. She prefers the use of longer words when speaking, and has high knowledge in the field of botany, and even some insight on historical data.

Languages spoken: Westron

Weapons (if any): She doesn't feel the need to carry arms, but will rely on her wit to evade troublesome obstacles. If all else fails, she might have something else up her sleeve.

Occupation(s): Technically she is unemployed. But she does a lot of private work in the field of Alchemy. Her business is her own, she only wishes to continue her profession unhindered.

Special Abilities/Skills: Unknown to anyone, Eden truly loves to sing. She loves to sing, and she's good at singing, but to do so is considered humiliating to her. She is also one of the few people that know the cure to Barrow Fever, a rare, usually lethal disease carried by rats.

Serious Problems/Flaws/Addictions/Disorders/Disabilities: Eden struggles with horrible insomnia, often going days without rest. She is an obsessive perfectionist, and hates to leave tasks uncompleted. She is also afraid of the dark, but few people know this. Though she depicts a strong confidence, she does a fair share of self loathing in her alone time, sometimes she can be heard crying behind closed doors - This is strongly due to her belated discovery of the cure for Barrow Fever, as she believes it is her fault it killed her mother. She's picky, she comes across as spoiled, and she seems rather self centered. She can come across as cynical, and sometimes annoying. Despite all this, she craves some sort of parental affection.

Background

Childhood

Eden was born the daughter of Dr. Geoffin Adrian Greenwill, anLauren May Cottonsloe, in Combe approximately fifteen years ago. There was not much to her childhood that was out of the ordinary, but we will get to that. She acted very different from others her age. She would often be seen staring intently at things for no discernable purpose, or memorizing things she didn't need to memorize. Her bedroom was always kept incredibly tidy when she had control over it, her toys were categorized by size, and set on shelves accordingly. Her bed was always made in the morning, and she always replaced the candles in her room when they got below half height. It was believed she was just 'strange'. Perhaps 'stupid', often receiving ridicule for her peculiar behavior from her peers. She never seemed to care, and never really retaliated. Despite the bullying that occurred in her early upbringing, her parents never treated her any differently than they would have a 'normal' child. When Eden was old enough to walk, and talk, she was almost instantly fascinated with her father's work as a Physician, watching him intently in silence as her performed what work he did. This is something that ultimately impacted her life.

Change of Paces, different Faces

At around the age of seven or eight, something which Eden herself is still not clear upon occurred between her parents, and it lead them to split apart. Her loving mother was sent into a state of depression, despite finalizing the separation herself. The same could be applied to her father. Eden should have been too young to truly understand, but she did. It traumatized her heavily, knowing her parents would no longer be together. Knowing she would not see her dad anymore hurt worse.

She and her mother moved onwards to Thestlebridge. Her mother gradually turned from the loving mother she grew up with, to something different. By age ten, her mother had undertaken a relationship with another man.

Feeling often neglected, Eden focused on the overcoming of some of her queer mannerisms. She wanted attention from someone, and her mother was no longer an option. She spent a lot of her time in the library, focusing that time which was predominantly spent staring at blank walls, floors, or her own feet, nose deep in literature relevant to the field of Botany, history, Alchemy, and other various topics. A side effect of her scholarly readings was an enhanced vocabulary, and a side effect of that was sounding 'too intelligent'.

By the age of twelve, she was still no social butterfly. She had maybe four friends, only one good friend. She had long lost the reputation she held in Combe as the 'slow child', and instead developed into the persona of, 'that weird girl that uses all the big words' She didn't care too much. With a few involuntary/unknown investments from her mother, she was able to start practicing the field she was researching. She started with simple, numbing salves, perhaps a few mild sedatives, and quickly advanced into creating her own mixtures of varying effect and purpose. Most of them even worked. She started to keep those which functioned well in a little letherbound black journal - She still has, and uses the very same.

She often times distracted herself in her side projects. She used to quite loudly sing pub songs she picked up from the local taverns.. But one person catching her, and telling her she sounded like, "A Jackdawn gargling tacks" made her quickly push away such urges.

    Barrow Fever

At the age of fifteen, several rats infested with barrow fever started to wander about Thestlebridge. Three dozen were infected before the rats were baited and killed, and of those three dozen only four survived. Those four were saved by Eden. Her mother died just before she  managed to produce a cure for the disease, and for that she feels greatly guilty. Those four she did save, were all among those who had teased her growing up. Their apologies for their misconduct after the fact fell on deaf ears. Eden didn't care. She saved them because she happened to have the cure available, and no one she liked was still around to need it. They were a lucky bunch.

With her mother deceased, she stayed in Thestlbridge until they were completely certain the epidemic had died out, and then moved back to Bree, to meet with her estranged Father. Things can only go as they go, from here.
