Background
History: She grew up in a family of five and had an average childhood. Her father, Condaer, was a hunter and a sentry on the boarders of Lothlorien under the leadership of Haldir, as she would later be as well. Her older brother, Merenor, took this path as well. He was always lighthearted and loved to sing, joke, and tell tales. Her younger sister, Calithiel, took after their mother, Gaelel; she was quieter and reserved, fond of embroidery. Ramield was a mix of the two: quiet and observant rather than open in conversation, preferring to carefully observe a situation before acting, and is a hunter of some prowess. She gets along well with her siblings but is closer to her brother since they share the same occupation. They would occasionally go hunting together, mostly for the competition of it. They would test their skills against each other. However, Ramield excelled far past Merenor after the tutelage of their father since Merenor was laid back and Ramield more determined, taking the bettering of her skills into her own hands.
Ramield and her brother and father went to the aid of some members of her father's family who lived in Lindon when a company from there was sent to the Battle of Fornost. A bad call was made by the captain leading their company. A few of the men, including her father, spoke up, imploring the captain to change his mind; however, he would not be persuaded. As a result, he sent a good many men, including her father, to their deaths. Ramield has been wary of those in command whom she had not seen tested ever since. Thus, she remained a sentinel in Lorien under Haldir, whom she trusted, for some time.
Some years ago, she took leave of the guard, with no animosity to or from her, to travel and adventure. She met many people, made few friends including the Rangers, and would occasionally return home to her position in Lothlorien which always remains open to her.
Ramield often travels alone but sometimes has a companion or two. When alone in battle, she will whittle down a group over time. When she has companions, she finds it very effective to take out the opposing leaders and generally cause chaos within the opposing ranks as this allows her companions to remain focused and prevents the enemy from launching an effective counter. Most recently, she has been in the North Downs, diverting groups of orcs away from Esteldin and whittling them down. She then came down to visit Vearra in Bree.
Personality: Distrusting of unfamiliar leadership. Above all, she hates stubbornness and foolishness in leaders. She said once, “it is better to have a mad leader than a foolish one,” a fact she knows from experience. She prefers to observe a situation, be it battle or casual interaction, before acting or engaging herself. She is introverted and closed at first, but when you get to know her, she opens up and becomes intimate and extremely loyal to her close friends. She has a beautiful singing voice, but will not sing for strangers or acquaintances. She will sing and dance with a select few or if she feels comfortable.
Recent History: While visiting Vearra, Ramield became acquainted with a group calling themselves Knights of Eriador. The concept intrigued her, with there having been no standing army in the region for centuries. Yet, they did not seem tied to a specific people, but on their own, protecting peaceful folk from outside threats that would seek to prey on complacency. Thus, she aided them, eventually joining their cause. Over the years, her actions were noticed, affording her a prominent role.
One quest took her from them, sending her north through the North Downs and on up to the southern reaches of the wastes of Angmar. Though her actions there may have brought the downfall of one that would have sought the demise of her company, it left her troubled in spirit. Taking the ashes of her fallen foe, once a friend, she buried them Lindon beside the grave of that friend's beloved. In that regions she stayed for some time, evaluating what it was she hoped to do now.
Returning to Hookworth, the home of the Knights, to find that much had changed. Many she had known had gone off on their own journeys alone and had not been heard from. Even Beongarn, who was their leader when she joined, had returned home on urgent matters. Brywyn, the current leader, handed the position to her, as she herself could no longer bear it. Now, Ramield heads the organization, shaping the remnant to fit the needs of the present time.
