She is a friendly creature, but sometimes crass and crude.

She does not talk much about her homeland, although it is obvious that she comes from the Dale-Lands. If asked, she may grace her inquisitor with a tale or two. More often than not, she will keep her answer straight and to-the-point.

Her family is still alive and well, though they no longer live in the Dale-lands. Her relatives are: Oreldis (grandmother), Malrin (mother), Adan (father), Landen (grandfather).

The below is purely OOC information and MUST be found out ICly!

Faelalan is one-quarter elf. Her grandmother, Oreldis, hails from Lothlorien and there met Fae's grandfather, Landen, while he was out seeking his fortune (before he retired to his homelands and became a farmer). As is typical with these types of things, the match was not approved of -- at first -- until Landen proved himself a worthy mate for Oreldis. (How was never revealed to Faelalan and it was not spoken of.) Out of this union came Malrin, Fae's mother, who in turn married Adan when she came of age. The union between Malrin and Adan, of course, led to Faelalan's birth and she is the only child of the union.

Oreldis and Malrin are both pale-skinned and blue-eyed with very light red, almost blonde hair. Fae is a more muted version of them, bearing only their eyes, fair skin, and some of their features. Aside from that, she appears to be very much of the race of Man.

Because she has elves for family members, she is very well educated and speaks fluent Sindarin. However, if asked, she will deny knowing the language (or will at least deny being able to understand it fully and speak it well); unfortunately, she speaks very well and can't hide the fact that she's more educated than she makes herself out to be. Aside from speaking Sindarin, she also speaks Westron and Dalish.

When she was eighteen, she left home to follow her then best friend and lover "Lindy". He had gone to the front and promised to write her; when he failed to do so, she decided to find him. This landed her in Bree. Rumor has it that she found Lindy in Bree -- he had been attacked on his way to the front and lost his memory as a result. It was here that she also met Larinvel, whom quickly became her second best friend. While Lindy eventually left Faelalan for "better things", she and Larinvel have remained very close.

She does not maintain a regular correspondence with her family, though she cherishes whatever contact she has with them.
