Theodvan Goldenshield, Youngest son of Aldor and Wyndreda Goldenshield. Brother to Xhan, was born in Fenmarch. His parents both were killed in an attack at one of the farms near forlaw, The Goldenshield Farm. He grew up with his family until he was seventeen. Once he turned twenty-three, he joined the Rohirrim and was training under his Mentor, Éomer, to become a better Rohirrim Soldier and then choose his occupation as a Warden of the Riddermark. After many trials and events, He achieved the title as Thane, Bestowed upon him by Théoden King, with this honor the King gave him the village of Beaconwatch as his seat. Upon acquiring the seat of thaneship of the village of beaconwatch, he also was given a host of men which he eventually increased the numbers, numbering to 800 very trained men.
Quite a few years after becoming Thane of Beaconwatch, he met a woman named Agelwyn and married her but the days turned il for the Goldenshield House and she died at childbirth when giving birth to Theawynn and Lythela. Theodvan after the death of Agelwyn, appointed a hand-maiden to help in raising the children as he was very busy as a thane, which called for seeing to the village, the people and the defence of the the Eastfold and other lands of rohan.
Theodvan recruited during his years his best officer and most loyal soldier, Kerberrus. Kerberrus was determined and very driven rohirrim soldier whom cared deeply for the wellbeing of the thane. Kerberrus his First Marshall, watched over him like he was as important as the King of Rohan, theodvan trusted him completely and leaves his village of beaconwatch under stewardship from time to time when he departs rohan or heads to another part of the westmark or to the eastmark. First Marshall Kerberrus eventually got Theodvan and a gondorian named Dorvairse together in friendship due to very well played diplomacy and also being a friend of Dorvairse from his own travels within Gondor. Dorvairse was a very renowned captain of the white city and in other major landmarks of Gondor such as Pelargir and Dol Amroth. After awhile, Theodvan and Dorvairse gave an oath of friendship and allegiance to honor the story they both knew of Eorl the Young and Steward Cirion, which led to the foundation of Rohan and its people. Theodvan gave his word and swore an oath to protect and come to the aid of Dorvairse or his people if he had requested aid, and Dorvairse also sworn an oath to come to the aid of Theodvan if he had need of him in Rohan.
On days when he is not needed, Theodvan places his First Marshall in command of beaconwatch and heads off to Woodhurst to help in the mines from time to time. He also helps in farming the fields and keeping the people happy as best as he could. He spends his time helping where he can when help is needed among his fellow kinsman and land.
His Childhood to Adulthood:
To begin: Wyndreda Artora, Mother of Theodvan and Aldor Goldenshield, Father of Theodvan, met within the walls of Edoras. Wyndreda at the time lived amoung the people of Edoras with her birthfamily. She, being a Minstrel played much for the people within the tavern and on most days, she would weave arts from cloth and leather. Clothing, silks, leatherwork, Linen, Cotton and such others. Tailoring was the craft she most loved. It was on a high noon that she was walking home from the craftsman hall and bumped into a broad man later to be found as, Aldor Goldenshield. She and Aldor began to converse and as time passed, eventually married him and moved with him to Fenmarch. Fenmarch was not as elegant as Edoras for the land was mostly marshland, willow trees, yew and maple. High grasslands and very fertile soil for crops and farming. There Wyndreda and Aldor lived for many years. Wyndreda eventually gave birth to a son and heir for Aldor, they named Xhan. Four years later, Wyndreda gave birth to Theodvan whom she loved very much. Aldor seemed to favor Xhan more.
Theodvan lived at Fenmarch until he was the age of five. Whereafter his parents moved out of the western lands of Rohan and headed north to Aldor's fathers land, The wildermore. There Aldor and his father began to work business in Trade and then eventually, Hunting. Wyndreda, disliked the land of Forlaw very much as to she was used to the warm air and surroundings of Edoras and or Fenmarch. They moved to a land of bitter blizzard winds and cold weather. She eventually learned to adapt and continued to raise her sons and live with her husband. She began to fit into the village when she started crafting her tailorwork and played music for the villagers within the Feasting Hall and central square. while in all of this Aldor and his Father held to their business and hunting.
Many years later in which at this time, Theodvan being eight years old and his elder brother of age twelve. Aldor's father had passed, and Aldor resigned from the trade business and held to his hunting, taking his eldest son with him on hunts. Theodvan wanted to go but in a unison agreement by both Wyndreda and Aldor, he was to young to go along with on dangerous hunts. Every morning, Theodvan would wake up to his mother calling his name with a soft voice. Getting up, watching his father and brother from the table awhile he ate his beginning of the day meal set down by his mother, watching them walk out and not return until nightfall. He later resulted in defying the wishes of his parents and snuck out and pursued them.
After his childhood adventure. Many years passed until the year came of his age now as seventeen, Xhan being now twenty-one and a skilled huntsman like his father. At this time, Theodvan himself knew the art of hunting but remained home with his mother and learned to play many instruments as his mother could teach him. It was around this time Wyndreda and Aldor built a farm once more and grew their own crops and Aldor would turn and sell them for a tidy profit. They in beginning to grow a large sum of coin, planned on again moving and to a better place, village in which they chose would be named Woodhurst in the Stonedeans of western Rohan. In dismay on one pale morning, Aldor and Wyndreda began to gather a remaining bundle of crops to take with them back to Forlaw. Making preparations to depart for Woodhurst, When suddenly a raid band of orcs and uruk-kai marched towards forlaw, intercepting the Goldenshield Farm. Aldor was killed by an arrow to his back while running, though Wyndreda's body was never found and no one saw her again, which led to believe she was killed aswell somewhere. It was at this time that Theodvan got word that his elder brother was also killed from an unusually oversized bear, maimed him beyond recognition.
Theodvan was the last of his family line until a son of his would be born.
After his family's death he took a request to Gárwig, the Reeve of Forlaw, in request to help him continue his family's plans and move to Woodhurst to carry out their wish in full. Gárwig approved his request and with help of the Reeve and many villagers, Theodvan set off with a caravan to Snowbourn and then planned from there to Woodhurst. It was then when he arrived in Snowbourn that the Dagred, father of Fastred brought Theodvan into his hall and gave him a place to stay. In this kind offer, Theodvan instead settled down in Snowbourn under the care of Dagred. Theodvan planned though still to carry his parents wish out and eventually purchase a deed of land and own a place in Woodhurst in memory of Aldor and Wyndreda Goldenshield. Upon reaching the age of Twenty-three, he decided at this time to join the Rohirrim as he sought vengeance against the evil who took his family. Dagred made arrangements as to now he had formed a relationship with Theodvan like an adopted son. Fastred, son of Dagred and Theodvan were almost brothers. But fastred was abit stubborn, selfish and high prided. Dagred sent Theodvan off to Edoras with a favorly request to Éomer to train him as a Rohirrim Soldier. In which happened, leading to many events and trials. Bringing him to the title which he now holds apon him, as Thane.
When in the King's Court, before the King after he was given the title, He presented a request in which he well thought of in advance before the ceremony to Thaneship. He requested to have a steward hold his seat upon the village in which he would be set in command of. And then take a caravan to another land and recruit, represent, set and example of who the people of Rohan were. Possibly bringing in additional allies to Rohan and its people. The King was of course very surprised at this unusual request and with much conversing amoungst his officials, Théoden King granted his request and which led Theodvan, now a Thane, Taking a large caravan and wagons, choosing the location he set off to the land which he now resides, Bree-land.
