Living most of his childhood years in seclusion, Deocles took to a life of learning instead of taking up arms. His Mother, who hailed from Gondor, instilled in him early on the power of knowledge and what it could do for him. Though this displeased his Father, Deocles found sanctuary in the books his Mother would sneak into his room at night. As he grew older, and his Mother grew frail and sick unable to defend Deocles, his Father became more outward of his disapproval in the life he had chosen.

     This caused Deocles to resent his father, even though he would eventually believe the words he was told: that he was weak, useless, and worst of all a mistake. This only fueled his desire to learn more however, and he began to broaden his studies beyond what only his Mother could provide. At the age of 17, Deocles left his home in Bree-land, and traveled Gondor in hopes of finding his place there. He was devastated to learn however that much had changed since his Mother had ran away with his Father those many years ago, and with a heavy heart...he would return to Bree-land.

     Now back at Bree-land, Deocles has found himself in the service of House Estellin, where he hopes to use his vast knowledge to help others for a change. This may prove difficult however, since his Father has taken a position with the House as well, still hounding on him for not taking up the life he always dreamed his one and only son would
