A tall, burly man, Aerwerd has a face that has clearly seen one too many fistfights. Whilst his physique shows a life of meat, mead, and working the forges, his face is far from handsome with a nose broken in several places, and cheeks that have seen more than their fair share of punches.

His straw-blonde hair is parted carelessly in the middle, reaching down past his ears. His beard completely covers the bottom half of his face, the same colour as his hair, except for the stains around the mouth, no doubt caused by too much ale, and an unwillingness to wash.

A patriotic, uncomplicated man, Aerwerd is often seen wearing Rohirric leather armour and chainmail, with a hefty pollaxe slung over his back. Whilst not as sprightly as he was in his younger days, he still wields his weapon with proficiency when dismounted, although without caring for such things as "finesse" or "grace".
