Dataak is rather tall, standing at 6"3. He has blonde hair of a short-length, and a neatly trimmed beard. He also has rather bright, piercing blue eyes. Dataak wears white and black Elvish-style armour in the form of his boots and gauntlets, and he sports a white hauberk with the emblem of a sword on the front. He wears a black belt, that has 3-4 pouches along it, one for money, one for bandages, etc. Above this, over his shoulders and back, is his cloak. He wears a long, thick black cloak, with black fur across his shoulders. This cloak is held together at the front-right, by a silver, elvish-style broach, with a ruby embedded into it. When travelling around for long periods of time, or just for a change of style, he may be seen wearing a simple black hauberk, along with more simpler armour. If he is in a more colder location, he may wear his grey hauberk, with brown fur boots and gloves, and fur surrounding his neck and covering his pauldrons.
Dataak is a generally handsome man, although usually this is not really seen, as his handsomeness is generally hidden by his scars, bruises, and his beard. On his face, he sports a large, deep scar that runs down his right eye, and across his cheek. Also, there are a few scars across his lips, and underneath his beard, although, they are partially hidden. Usually, he'd perhaps have a bruised cheek, or jaw, from fights and spars that he gets into. Dataak is missing half of the ring finger on both hands, but that is only really noticeable when his gauntlets are off, which they rarely are.
He, more often than not, will usually be seen wielding his trademark great-sword, which he named, 'Caramiriel', which is Sindarin for 'Ruby'. The great-sword is of an obvious Elven design, and features a black, custom handle, which has a ruby embedded within it, near the blade. The blade would most often be very well maintained, showing that Dataak is very attached to it, unless he is in battle, where it would often be soaked in his enemy's blood. Near the base of the blade, where it connects to the handle, would be inscriptions on each side of it. Along one side, would be the inscription of his wife's name, 'Maydawn', and on the other, would be his children's names, 'Alek' and 'Ella'. Dataak also has named his black horse Ella, in remembrance of his deceased daughter.

Background
Dataak, the Oathkeeper
Personality:
It would be clear, from the moment one would meed the older man of Rohan, that what you see is pretty much everything you are going to get. Years of selling his sword to the highest bidder, have caused him to develop a rather callous nature towards other people. Appearing utterly self-motivated, and driven to doing what he does best. Wielding a sword.
A keen drinker, perhaps always seen with a mead in hand while perusing taverns, Dataak, may be observed to be quite reserved, preferring a quiet night in with his cards, than deal with loud-mouthed patrons, or obnoxious young women. Well-educated, well-travelled, but not quite so well-spoken, he lives a simple life, in a simple world.
Fighting style:
Often known, when being referred to by previous clients, as the 'Oathkeeper', it may be common knowledge among the world of sellswords, and hired blades, that Dataak is a man with honour. This consequently means that the Rohir will consistently spare lives, if he deems the death 'unnecessary'. Abiding strictly by the rules of classic sword play, he fights with naught else but a stylish claymore, or his fists, if deemed applicable.
Such a self-imposed handicap has been known to lead to instances where his opponent has gotten the upper-hand using a cheap trick. Though, this appears to be the worst thing a man can do, as, using this as fuel for his rage, Dataak would then make it his mission to keep hacking until there was nothing left of his, now, victim laying strewn across the floor. The best advice: play fair.
Currently:
It would appear a certain man Rohirrim descent has taken refuge in a rented room within Bree, with gossip perhaps speaking of a man, blond of hair, having been seen in a verbal spar with none other than Barliman Butterbur himself. Continuing to frequent the Pony irregardless, it seems that the man has unfinished business needing to be attended to...
| Friends | Due to a long, and illustrious, history, Dataak would appear to have very few friends left that didn't also happen to be dead. Perhaps simply searching for a place to belong. |
|---|---|
| Relatives | Appearing to have a simple philosophy on personal matters: "Fuck off.", he would reveal no such information to any random stranger. Though, one may feel free to try their luck. |
| Rivals/Enemies | On face value, he would appear to not be the type of man to hold grudges. Though deep behind those bright blue eyes, there was certainly troubled thoughts lurking, for some reason or another. |
| Loves | It may be apparent that he has a certain fondness for mead, his horse, and particularly, his home of Rohan. You may hear him speak of having wishes to return, though, for some reason, he has yet to do so. Oh, and coin. Lots of coin. |
|---|---|
| Hates | If there is one thing that is sacred to the man, then that is the honour of someone's word. Dishonesty is perhaps really the only thing that fuels a lust for blood, at least, so it seems. |
| Motivation | Collecting coin, as it were. Seeming to have an affinity for all things shiny, and valuable. |
| Quotes | Known for saying such colourful phrases as: "Who th'fuck are you meant to be, eh?", or, "Peace? Fuck tha'! Ah'm a man of action!" |
