Gwyyn Cinderbeard a north man who's very large in stature standing at 6'6". A great mountain of a man with muscles like stone from working at the smith all the years. He has deep green eyes with a small ring of orange around the pupil, kind eyes but quick to change depending on his mood. A great bushy beard and long reddish hair that falls down his back when braided, It covers most of his head and slightly freckled face. A large nose bent inwards slightly after being broken in many different fights and having it poorly set. Thick heavy hands joined at two large arms, and thighs like tree trunks. He bares a scar over his face from play fighting with his bear, although fading now but still prominent in the right light. His age has begun to show, a few lines creasing his forehead and eyes, yet he's still handsome in the more rugged sort of way. Across his left shoulder theres a much more noticeable scar in the perfect form of teeth marks circling themselves about his flesh, from where he was attacked by a wolf in his younger days. Across his thick slightly hairy chest he bears a large black bear painted into his skin, it's paws starting from the left of his abdomen working its way up as the head rests on his heart. Riddled with a few scars where he's taken crossbow bolts and arrows the bear looks ever fierce.

Background

Gwyyn, the son of Davith and Igritte, comes from the mountains of the northern wastes, a cold desolate place, often masked by fog and full of ice. His people the Lossoth, live in hide built villages that cling to the mountains and remaining forests. Barbarians is a word they've been described as though it could not be more father from the truth. His people for many years have lived on this desolate land, separate from all the men farther south. They adopted animals into their lives, raising them, training them and even riding to battle with them. The bear is worshipped amongst his people, seen as a sign of power and strength, they take their beasts as apart of their life and their souls.

As a boy Gwyyn was put through trails determining his strength and will. The people took animals as their second to share their being as one, be it bear or wolf, warg, mamutti or snow cat. The children would fight each other in harsh unforgiving trials to determine which of them was the strongest, swiftest and most cunning. Cubs would be set in front of those which remained as a gift, choosing for themselves who they would walk to. Gwyyn stormed through his trials with ease until he came upon Rhiann, the only other child to match him. A girl with scarlet hair that hung past her waist in one large thick braid, she had the same green eyes that he had and a look about her that made his heart race. She was taller then most of the other girls and was the most fearsome. When Gwyyns challenge was over, one of the cubs had taken ill and died, a bad omen for the remaining child, as the animals paired with their new family, Gwyyn was left standing alone. His father drew his sword furious storming over to him as Gwyyn dropped to his knees, prepared to die knowing he had shamed him. Though as his father looked to his right, his eyes turned to black pools as a large black shaggy bear cub came padding out of the forest, covered in it's mothers blood, it walked up to Gwyyn nuzzling into his lap. His father dropped his sword as all the other villagers looked up and chanted forth, "Kodaav Kiir" ... The Bear Child.
