After War of Wrath he stayed and lived among Noldor to better understand his mother's choices.
Moved to Eregion and became smith and dwarf-friend.
After War of Elves and Sauron briefly stayed in Imladris but settled in Lindon.
Displeased by inaction and progressing isolationism during 3rd age joined Loth-i-Lonnath and waged sea-war against Black Numenorians, Umbar and Harrad.
Lately his ship was destroyed (along with pursuing Umbar squadron) by a storm west of mouth of Isen.
He surivived and is now traveling north through Enedwaith and Hollin.
