Born in Archet, Igerne Nettle, followed in her mothers footsteps and became a 'jack of all trades', washerwoman, cook, nurse and farmhand, taking work where she could find it. She met a a man of Archet too, Wil Lambsear they had three children, sadly none surviving into adulthood,

Wil and Igerne grew old together, their life meager but good, often seen enjoying a pint in the 'Mad badger', of a friday.

Then tragedy struck, during the attack of the Blackwold brigands, Wil died in a fire trying to save Igerne. 

Now all alone Igerne has made her way to Bree, to find her old friends daughter Bethyn Blackthorne to ask for her help...
