When only a young lad his father sent him to become a soldier, (as had his father before him) He suited Army life well, enjoying the camaraderie and friendships forged. He travelled much over Eriador, and from these travels he developed a love for collecting unusal things, paintings, busts, maps and the like. Long has he wished to visit the halls and courts of nobility in other realms.
He returned home to his family estate after the death of his father.
