Dear Violet,
How are you? I am missing you so much - especially now that I prepare to go to bed. I miss the nice chats we had before falling asleep. When living in a large and noisy family for all your life, suddenly living alone is something you have to get used to. And of course I miss all of you. I hope the ruffians will remember my arrows for a very long time to come, and will not bother you in Woodhall anymore.
Finally I have arrived in Michel Delving, and I can assure you that this place is even more interesting and strange than we thought. You should come and see for yourself some day. Maybe when Pa has several quick post errands at once? We have helped him on the way to Stock several times, and so the way to Michel Delving should be a piece of pie, although a very long one. Imagine, the Stock road is sung about here in spine-chiller songs! I heard one of them in the Bird and Baby Inn yesterday.
Unfortunately, just when the group of hobbits I met in the town square started to play and dance, I had to leave for my appointment with master Brockhouse. But that went really well. He told me that another hobbit had just moved out of a neighbourhood and I could move in at once. He was a little worried I might demand extensive refurbishment since the house was all decorated in elf style. He was really relieved when I told him that this was perfect for me. Sadly though at this point he remembered some other urgent errands and had to leave in a hurry - just when I started to tell him that I was an elf myself. I did not even manage to tell him that I was brought up by a hobbit family in Woodhall. But we will surely have more opportunities for a nice chat, as I am moving in tomorrow. Hope you can visit me some day!
My new address is: 2 Wending Way, Bramblebury.
There are also many lankyshanks passing through Michel Delving. Hopefully I will find another elf who can teach me about the elvish ways and the life in the Golden Woods. I do not want to misbehave when I'll arrive there one day. For the time being, I hope the hobbits here can use a skilled elf archer like me.
Take care, all of you, and especially you, Violet! I can imagine you quite enjoy having our room all to yourself for a change.
Love!
Your sister Miwia
