Entry One!
A New Start
Well, i'm currently sitting in my brand-new house, with my brand-new furniture, and my brand-new journal, given to me by a rather odd hobbit by the name of Dungo. It's a strange feeling, the feeling of actually owning something. I like it. I'm not exactly sure how this journal is going to work, so I suppose i'll just write in it whenever I feel like.
I guess i'll start with my new house. It's quite..cozy..with two rooms, and a decent sized yard. On the inside, I spent some coin on some basic furniture. A nice, comfy bed, some cabinets, and some bookcases, filled with books i've yet to read! It's all so exciting!
I honestly didn't expect anything to turn out like this. I suppose I figured I would be doomed to repeat the same schedule every day, until I grew old, wrinkly, and fat. I have alot of people to thank, but I don't want to write thank-you's in this bloody thing, I want to write important things! Well, actually, I guess the thank-you's are kind of important..but I don't want to write them. I think i'd rather do it in person.
Plus, who will read this besides you, mother?
I think things are going to be better now. I'm leaving for Thorin's Hall momentarily, and I plan on finding out where Edstan lives in the meantime. You'd like him, mother, trust me. He's smart, strong, and quite good looking. He's like the adventurer's in the stories you used to tell me. I think finding his house may be a bit of a problem, but I have a plan that -should- work.
Wish me luck, mother!
I love you.
