The way to the Truth (The Chronicles of the Sword)

She was feeling all alone…

Like an empty sea shell.

Away from her home, her friends…

Away from Teremonth…

Although under the cover of the night she couldn’t really tell the difference of the view outside the window, she still was feeling it deep in her heart.

“I disappointed him…”

And did he not disappoint you?”

“No…” her denial sounded so weak

“He did not trust you…”

“He left you before… this is not the first time…”

“He was just trying to protect me…”

Her mind filled with a laugh “He thought you are weak… he still thinks it is. That is how men are”

“You know what to do… ”

Reiven turned her gazes over the sword lying on her bed.

“You carried it already… nothing happened…”

She elf took a deep breath, releasing the sword from its wrappings with her trembling slim fingers, unsheathing. Smooth and sharp edges of the sword caught a glimpse of the moonlight. It was beautiful…  She couldn’t resist touching its sharp edge hilt to the pointed end. For a moment it became alive in her hands and pricked her finger for a single drop. Reiven dropped the sword back onto the bed, realizing its power.

That is how Volina found her… Sitting in front of her home, all alone with a covered long bundle lying on her lap. “What are you doing here? Why are you not at home?”

Reiven shrugged slightly “I can’t go back home…” Her looks fell on to the bundle.

Volina followed her looks knowing what was under the covers. “Come inside” she said “We talk..”

And they talked all night long…

Discussed the nature of it, the nightmares and the power it holds.

Reiven remembered how Teremonth called it.. “She wants blood…” once he said. “She…” and Reiven remembered the old woman who left a mark on her wrist long ago… It felt like ages ago still the image was there..

“If we can find who hides in this sword” said Volina “We can find a way to deal with it.. That is the key”

But how can we…” her question remained incomplete as both voiced a name “Daelith….”
