Diary Entry 12
My stay in Imladris has as always replenished my spirit. The sight of my home always reminds me what I am fighting for and the legacy we will one day leave behind in the hands of men.
News had been sent from the border guard that a traveller to Imladris had been waylaid along the western road. I offered to look into the matter as an Officer in one of the Warbands of Imladris and was fortunate to quickly learn the full details from the Lady herself, she is known as Carlotta and is now recovering as a guest of Imladris under the watchful care of the healers of House Calarind.
I shall send more patrols to cover the area from the settlement of Ost Guruth to the Gates of Imladris over the coming weeks with the blessing of Lady Elisbeth. The patrols these past few months had been lessened due to commitments to the south and my own travels. This attack stood as a stark reminder that all in the west is not as safe as perhaps it would first appear.
My own troubled dreams had lessened of late but I still ‘feel’ as though something is ‘wrong’. I still hold the belief that the investigation to speak with those who can commune with the spirits in Enedwaith will bear some fruit.
