The Tale of the Goat Fish - A poem

We set sail on some floating beds
Under blankets of blue and red
Down to Buckland Town the water flowed
We fished all day and night
But hardly got a bite
We wondered where did all the fish go?

Then Jiro got a bit too drunk
And bumped into Anysia's bunk
Dropped his pie and watched it roll away
The pie fell off the bed
And Jiro, he turned red!
"I will be going hungry today!"

Rowana looked over the side
And a strange fish she espied
Eat the pie and swim under her bed
She could have almost sworn
The fish had two short horns
And a small beard on its fishy head

Lothilia cast out a net
"We will reel in that goat-fish yet!"
"A lovely pie that will make us all!"
And Lotti made a catch
The goat-fish was attached!
So now we had to reel in our haul

But the goat-fish put up a fight
It struggled with all of its might
Soon enough the net was badly torn
In the water it did dive
It had escaped alive!
And all that was left was just a horn

So we toasted ourselves with ale
We did not feel like we had failed
Even though the goat-fish had been freed
With the horn in our hands
We travelled cross the land
Telling tales of our epic deed!
