It's strange to open my old, dusty book again. The pages are old and they are difficult to read.
This is a book with personal notes, consisting of thoughts and events that have happened over the last decades.
My old notes describe me as young and restless lady in its search for a song that haunts me, a song from something or someone trying to summon me.
I have ever since realized that this is an inner song that wants me to find my calling in this world. I am not born to live sheltered from all evil, I am here to make the world a better place. Therefore, I do what I can to make life any safer, in the hope that one day there will be peace in the Middle-Earth.
Today I have found peace, I want to live and prepare for battle in the hope of a free Middle-Earth. I have chosen to become a Warden, a protector of the free people in the struggle against evil.
I joined an Alliance consisting of all races from the free people. These people has been directly affected by the carriers of pure evil and has caused many to change their attitude. Pride, resentment from the older days does not mean anything, choosing to stay together regardless race or background is what matters now.
'The shadows' is this Alliance, free people directly affected by the evil, but not cursed or consumed by it.
I decided to join them in this journey towards the unknown, as I have seen Greenwood fall and my mother's family put to death.
The song I hear takes me further to the east and I will fight side by side with The Shadows that will head towards Rohan. It feels natural for me to join them.. It makes sense.
Earinlin will join me. As I sit here and write he is next to me in deep thoughts reading his books. Now and then he looks up at me and smiles as a sign he still adores me.
It is never asked by him about my actions and decisions. He believes in me and respect me, he has made his choice to support me no matter what. If I had to go through the flames he probably would have been by my side. I love him very much, after all this decades together, he knows how to make my heart dedicated to him, it will be easy to live in all eternity with him. He is my best friend and someone who makes me complete.
Before the journey towards Dunland, we shall spend days in Imladris, nurturing our love, before we go to the east as fellow warriors in The Shadows.
