"Welcome Home, Minyelaírë"

Daerundros looked and breathed out a sigh of relief as she stood at the edges of the forest. The golden sand was slowly dissipating, to be replaced by a lush green grass and bushes of strange, exotic plants. Daerundros' curious eyes flicked to and fro merrily, trying to capture the detail within her memories. Beside her, Arivien and Vardarianna, looking as equally as curious, and in lightning-fast movement Daerundros reached for parchment and charcoal deep within her pockets, to capture the scene before her.
They had been in Harad for five mannish years. Daerundros had learned the tongue of Harad swiftly, as did everyone else in the company. Azad had left them seasons ago. He was now back in Unau a a free man. Part of Daerundros felt sad to have seen him go, yet part of her was relieved, for she shuddered at the days when he always stared at the three Elvish maidens with interest, and she could not forget the day when he had sneaked up to her and taken her blade to examine it.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" She roared, seeing Azad with her blade in his hands. Azad quickly dropped it, "Nothing!" He winced at her murderous glares.
"I shall not have some mortal toying with my weapons without MY permission. Am I clear?!" Her voice shook in fury and in anger. She could feel Vardarianna and Arivien gently trying to restrain her, and Minyelaírë watching in amusement. She shook them off with unexpected strength.
"If I am to catch you one more time, sneaking up to take my weapons, your life is forfeit!" She shrieked, and she stormed off behind a palm tree within the Oasis they were resting on.

Her concentration was broken by a, "Quickly!" As Minyelaírë held two branches apart for Daerundros to enter.
The Change in scenery was fast and overwhelming. One minute, she had been gazing the wall of a Rainforest, sand whipping around their masked faces as they looked back to Haradwaith and saw endless sand and far off a town of mudbricks. The Next... they were in an exotic forest filled with strange plants and the endless noise of alien wildlife. For minutes they walked on, silently, until...
Daerundros' jaw dropped. Standing on the cliffs, they walked towards an opening and saw a bright sky. Towering waterfalls, mountains peppered with trees, and colorful birds dominated the scene. Daerundros found it hard to imagine such palm trees standing upon the rocky mountains, and yet the more she looked at them, the more real it seemed to be.
There was a sniff coming from Minyelaírë's direction. Looking around Daerundros saw the side of her face, and to her amazement, tears of happiness flowing from her eyes. She squeezed Minyelaírë's shoulder with her hand, and proceeded to put an arm around her sister, who was obviously feeling the emotions within herself. This was their home now. Daerundros could never bear to see Eregion restored. She knew it was too late for that now. Instead, she looked with Minyelaírë to the birds flying high above them, a smile on her face.
"Welcome home, Minyelaírë."
