Umbaindes and the Charmer - Part 2

"Oi!" Umbaindes shouted as at a passing Boen, quite displeased.
Boen turned and grinned slyly, looking at Umbaindes with a rather searching look. They were along the Great East Road
"Ah, I was hoping to bump into you actually." Boen looked quite honest, and rather pleased, at the fact that he had bumped into his chieftainess.
"Why?" Umbaindes asked, not actually making eye contact with Boen.
Boen looked rather concerned, "Look, about that thing at the Pony..." He trailed off, noting Umbaindes' eye gazing towards the ground rather than himself, "Are you all right?"
Umbaindes nodded meekly, "I... um... yes..."
"Then why are you looking so glum?" Boen asked, rather bewildered.
"Er....." Umbaindes seemed lost for words.
"Look, that time at the Pony... if you hated that, then I shan't do it again." Boen bowed deeply, grinning slyly.
After some hasty mumblings, Boen cupped a hand behind his ears and said, "What was that?"
"I.. um... I think I.... liked it." Umbaindes admitted. The shield and her weapons clanged to the floor. It did not matter anymore.
The next thing that happened, Umbaindes knew, was that she was falling for this man. He played with her, held her in his arms, and teasingly looked at her while keeping her spear out of her reach. Umbaindes had no idea how to proceed.
Yet after a while, it came to her responding to Boen's advances. She carefully placed her gloved hands on either side of his face, looking deeply into his eyes as his face betrayed a look of shock and surprise.
"I hope you don't mind..." Umbaindes said slowly, watching the trees in front of them sway lazily in the background, the plains of the Bree-fields looking calm and peaceful, and behind them, the ruins of the Old Kingdom and the cliffs of the Barrow Downs.
"Should I?" Boen murmured.
"Does it even matter?" Umbaindes said, and after a long while she spoke again.
"Well..." Boen started speaking, which, to Umbaindes' annoyance, rather made her impatient. Not paying attention, she took her eyepatch off, exposing the Grey eye alongside the visible Brown one, and she smiled as Boen ceased his talking and gazed at her Eyes, seemingly lost for words since the first time they had met.
"You amaze me Boen." She sighed. She could see Boen's face becoming a mask of shock and surprise. "I amaze you? How...." Boen started off again. Umbaindes hushed him.
"Enough talking, just..." Umbaindes' face gradually neared Boen's and her lips softly met his.
The next thing Umbaindes knew, was that she was flying, flying into bliss, as Boen's arms entwined her in a hug and his hands placed themselves on her back. Forever, it seemed to Umbaindes, but in real time, it may have been a minute or two. Their lips parted and Umbaindes exhaled, adrenaline rushing to her head.
"Wow."
