Belegaran's journal, Third entry

Another week has passed and quite a few things happened also, as for our babies.. both are doing really well and it is marvelous to see features of both Lu and myself return in Little Lu and Little Bel. As something unfortunate happened to Lu’s horse named Cwene, I had to buy a new horse for Lu..which I did. Lu seemed delighted when she received the horse, though that is not a surprise to me. She often mentioned riding a horse when she was pregnant, though we could not risk it incase Lu would miscarry, also she is from The Mark and they seem keen on their horses. Of course that meant that Lu had to challenge me as usual for a race, which did not turn out to well for me eventually... After much discussion I decided to agree with Lu’s bet on the race, which I do regret now. The bet was as followed: The one who lost the race would change nappies of both Little Lu and Little Bel for one whole week, also the loser would have night duty for two days.. Needless to say I lost. This Wednesday we had an artist visit us, after some bickering on what to wear Lu and I decided to both wear blue garments.. Oh before I forget, the blue hauberk I wore for the oil painting was a gift from Lu, just shows how thoughtful she is.. After much hours of standing for the pose we were finally done. The oil painting looks wonderful, though I wonder if Lu thinks I look older on that painting.. all wrinkly and such. *tries to remember the oil painting that the artist made* ___________________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________________ I should be off.. I might make myself a nice warm tea to help myself with the night duty, I hope I do not wake Lu, either by making too much noise or by the scent of the nettle tea.
